Mary Aziz-Stoetzer’s songs can be heard on the radio, on stage and in classrooms around the world. Performers who have recorded her songs include DuffleBag Theatre, McAuley, Jackie Ungar, Beverley Mahood, Deborah Hay and French singer Jacquot.
A number of Mary’s songs were commissioned for publisher Prentice Hall Ginn’s French textbook series Acti-Vie. Writing and recording with her husband Ryner Stoetzer, Mary has enjoyed creating theme songs for such worthy causes as the Children’s Miracle Network and The 2001 Canada Summer Games.
As Co-Chair of Special Events and Ceremonies for The 15th World Transplant Games in 2005, Mary produced The World Transplant Idol Competition for 1500 people at Alumni Hall in London. Fifteen performers from ten countries world-wide entertained transplant recipients and guests, as well as Canadian Idol runner-up Theresa Sokyrka who was on-hand to judge the competition. More recently, Mary developed two French/English plays that are performed annually by DuffleBag Theatre’s bilingual troupe. |
